Hi, my name is Helena. I\'m a fun, loving, and responsible 20 year old student that is looking for a babysitting job. I come from a big family and have always been surrounded by children. I have been babysitting for over 6 years and am therefore extremely comfortable around kids. My experience with children includes newborns-15 year olds. As a babysitter I can be very creative, I enjoy crafts, singing and dancing. I also love reading, even if its the same book 10 times. I strive to be a good role model for the children in my life and I try to be someone they look up to and enjoy spending time with (kind of like a big sister). About myself: I was born and raised in Iceland, but moved here 6 years ago. Though Icelandic is my first language, I speak fluent English (and barely even have an accent anymore!). Fun fact, I also have a background in Danish. I am currently studying biochemistry at the University of Winnipeg and hope to get into optometry in the next couple of years. Children have always brought me a lot of joy, and therefore I spend a lot of my time volunteering with children of all ages. Right now I volunteer once a week with the Children\'s Hospital library. At the hospital I get to share my love for books and reading with sick children. I also volunteer with a children\'s outreach program called Lets Talk Science, where I get to go to different schools and kindergartens and teach children science through fun, hands on science experiments. When I am not in school or volunteering, I spend my time reading, going for walks outside or bike rides. I also enjoy time with friends and family. My availability includes most nights (Tuesday nights I volunteer), and all day Fridays and on the weekends. I can babysit up to 3 times a week, and am available on short notice. I babysat my two cousins from when they were born - 4 year old (they were 2 years apart).
