Hi! I\'m Heather, and I\'m an eighteen year old student, going into my second year of university at Carleton University in Ottawa, studying to get my Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and History. I have lots of experience looking after kids of all ages and needs, and absolutely love doing so. I am also ready and willing to tutor and/or help with schoolwork during childcare hours, as well as cook or help with housework. I\'m available to work temporarily on a day-to-day basis, or for more long term periods as well. My dad is a chef and this job not only gives responsibility, but also gave me lots of experience both in the kitchen, and in cleaning and keeping things organized. I love to read, be outside and swim, and would be completely comfortable taking children to the pool, the park and other summer activities. I\'m dedicated, highly organized and very punctual, and will give looking after your kids my absolute all. I hope to work with you! I've cared for children from ages two to twelve, including experience with autistic/special needs, as well as assisted with homework and school projects for children in grades one to nine. My responsibilities have included promoting good behavior by using positive reinforcement methods and resolving conflicts between children in a positive and calming manner. I have worked with children of all ages, and have been responsible for caring for my younger sister after school since age ten, and I have been a helper at kid's birthday parties, giving me experience for being responsible for many children at once.
