I am currently studying my last year through Saint Mary's University and plan to pursue a career working with children with disabilities. Jill Wood For two summers I've worked with Early Intervention Program as a respite support worker where I was responsible to go pick up the children who had special needs and take them out to the park, movies, bowling, sometimes I prepare games, or arts and crafts. Whatever was fun to do and planned for that day. The children were from ages 2-14 years old. I usually look after 3 children at a time. While looking after the children I was responsible that they were safe at all times, sunscreen, snacks, water, bathroom breaks, change diapers, and so on. I've babysat multiple of children throughout high school and university, (2-4 children at once, 3-8 year old) I was responsible to assure they completed/help with their homework, get the children awake and get ready for school, prepare and clean breakfast and supper. I also was responsible for the children to get ready for bed and bath time. During the free time, I was responsible to entertain them, usual games outside.
