Hi, My name is Amy Wilkie. I am a 22 year old with a university diploma in honours psychology, which includes developmental and health courses. I also have my CPR/First Aide training and Completed the St. Johns babysitting course. I have constantly been around children through both volunteer and paid work (available below). I love children and am very outgoing,creative, active and organized individual. Currently volunteering at the Police Youth Center of the Boys and Girls Club (6 years old- 18 years old o Being a positive role model o Understanding of diversity issues o Leadership, counselling and conflict resolution skills o Involvement in recreational activities Volunteered in a Grade 9 English class once a week, St Peters High School Assistant Hockey Coach Atom (9 & 10 yrs olds) Ottawa Girls Hockey On-ice Hockey Skills Instructor - Gloucester Cumberland Girls Hockey ( 5-6 years old) The athletic club : Playcare Associate?-- new born to school age children ( ratio 3 babies or 8 children per) Currently working in the Playcare centre, where I am responsible for the care and safety of the young children left in my charge while their parents participate in the activities offered by the facility. -Supervise and co-ordinate activities for the children which includes games and crafts. Work with other associates to ensure a safe and happy environment for the children. Ensure that the children receive whatever meals and/or snacks that are provided by their parents. Notify their parents immediately of any safety or health issues that arise. - babies feed, play and be put to sleep The ottawa athletic club :Playcare Associate?-- new born to school age children (no ratio) -multiple children I worked in the Playcare centre where I was responsible for the care and safety of the young children left in my charge while their parents participate in the activities offered by the facility.
