Hi! My name is Tasia Shaw. I am a 23 year old student working towards my teaching degree so I can become a kindergarten teacher.I have been working with children for over 8 years from infants to 13 years old. I have worked with childen in a daycare setting, a home setting and in a extra cricular program setting. I love working with children, teahcing them new things and opening them up to new experiences like cooking and baking. I love to dance, sing, act, swim, hike and many other activities that I know kids love to participate in as well. Working with children is my passion and I cant wait to work with yours! I worked at a daycare for 5 years. I started out working in the out of school care program(age 5-13). While working on that side i was responsible for prepairing snacks for the children, runing activities like crafts, baking, and playing out side with the children. I was also responsible for cleaning the daycare. Durring the summer we would take the kids on field trips to the pool, the park, playland(in vancouver)and many other fun field trips. After a few years I was asked to work in the pre school( 3 and 4 year olds) and group care room(ages 2.5-5). To work over there I had to get my ece assistant licence. My duties in these progrmas were to plan activites/crafts, run circles, prepair snacks, change pullups, potty training, and like the other side i was responsible for cleaning. I had my fist aid but it just expired octobIer 2012. I also have been babysitting since the age of 14. Between babysitting and working at the daycare i have worked with new born babies to children the age of 14. I have also thought childrens dance class and theater programs.
