Nanny in Montreal
Hi, I am extremely flexible when it comes to my hours, and I am not afraid of hard work. I come from a big extended family and have always been around children. I worked as a nanny in 2012/2013 and found it to be very rewarding. I would love to continue working with children. I was a nanny for two families from September 2012- August 2013 in Montreal. Initially I was a full time caregiver for a family with three girls ages 11, 8 and 11 months. I woke them up for school in the morning, took care of the baby during the day (feeding, diapers, naps, outings to the park, playing etc.), did the tidying up and laundry, then picked up the girls from school, helped them with their homework and spent time with them until their parents arrived home from work in the evenings. Their family's situation changed and they no longer needed a full time helper, so I took a job with a family with one 8 year old girl. I picked her up from school, helped her with homework, made sure she got to after school commitments like soccer on time and with everything she needed, supervised play dates with her friends and occasionally I would prepare meals for her and help with laundry and tidying up. From 2009 to 2012 I worked at a library, and during the summer I switched from the adult department to the children's department where I did a summer reading program. The kids ages 2 to 9 came in once a week for crafts, games, stories and snacks. I was the "Summer Student" which means that I worked full time preparing the crafts, games etc. Then on story time days it was my job to read to them, lead them in the activities and make sure things were running smoothly. I was also in charge of recording the kids' reading progress, rewarding them for milestones, and helping them select books.
