Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario
I'm an
Individual
Hello - we are a busy family and could really use some wonderful help! Our children are 7 and 10 years of age (one boy and one girl) and currently go to a nearby after school program.
Opportunity A)
Part-Time, 5 days a week - starting in September but can negotiate sooner
In September, we would like to be able to bring the children home after school, instead of an after-school program. You would meet the children at the neighbourhood bus stop and walk them home. At that time, they will either relax or do their homework (you chose the order, based on everyone's mood, including your own, day by day!). Perhaps you can take them to a drop off pottery class once a week or to nearby swim lessons. I know that you might have a certain number of hours in mind, so I dont want to say the exact hours. But definitely you will be picking them up at 3 and I will be home anytime from 4:30 to 6 pm. The hours could be 2 to 6 or 2:30 to 5:30. You tell me what you prefer. If you want to do a bit of housekeeping, you may want to start a bit earlier in the day? If you are willing to help out with some light household duties, that would be terrific. Laundry (it will be a team effort with me - I am always doing laundry), keeping the kitchen tidy, emptying the lunch bags and preparing a little bit of the next day's snacks. Generally straightening things out and getting ready for the next day.
Opportunity B)
Someone who is looking for occasional babysitting, to simply help us out a bit. Maybe you will pick up the kids once a week at the after-school program and spend a few hours with them? That might be a good start. Maybe you are interested in picking up some hours over the summer? Maybe you would like to watch the kids for a week or two over the summer (in lieu of a day camp). Maybe you are interested in some weekend work? At any rate, we would love to bring someone into the fold that the kids can bond with and who wants some hours and is flexible - it will work both ways.
My husband and I both have a lot of things going on with our jobs etc., and frankly, we have no family in the city to rely on. I have made it work up until now but as my kids get older, they covet spending more time at home. I have realized it is time to figure out a new solution and I need to ask for help. I hope you may be one of the solutions! I value kindness, honestly and compassion the most in the world and I think you will feel very comfortable with us.
Currently, we have one gerbil, one hamster and two fish. There is talk about getting a kitten in the near future - full disclaimer!
We live in East York, near Victoria Park and St Clair Avenue East.
Please let me know if this interests you. Option A is rather particular and limited in hours, but I am putting it out there into the universe that we might find each other!
