Nanny in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Hello to everyone reading this, My name is Danielle and I am 25 years old. I have a passion for working in childcare and watching as kids grow, evolve and become their own person. I have been extremely fortunate over the years to work for wonderful families and daycares with such energetic, courageous, unique kids. I worked in a daycare program for almost 4 years with school age kids 5-10 years of age, but also spent a lot of time in the pre school classes ages 3-5. I also have experience with children with developmental delays. I have worked with kids with diabetes, epilepsy, mental health conditions and more. I have been working with children since I was a child. My mother and auntie were both grade school teachers and I started volunteering in their classrooms at a young age. I started babysitting right as soon as I was eligible and have met and come to love so many wonderful kids. I have babysat for many families and have also done some respite. A little about me? I am 25 hoping to continue with my passion in childcare. I hope to go back to school one day and would love to become a mental health counsellor for children. I love trying new things, the outdoors, exercising. I love to sing songs, (even though I am awful), binge watch tv shows, read books and am recently picking up embroidery. I enjoy astrology and scrapbooking. Being around kids for my whole life has taught me a lot. Every child has a different way of handling and regulating their emotions. They all have a voice and important things they need to say. They all need to be heard and understood. I believe in building trust with a child, listening to what they need and following their direction as much as possible to find the best outcome. Communication is always key.
