Hello potential families! My name is Emily Brown and I would love to meet and play with your children. I'm from Calgary, Alberta, but am in the city for a year of growth and learning. I went to York University last year, but it wasn't the right path for me. I firmly believe that a babysitter should be able to maintain authority whilst being a friend and playmate to the children. I want your children to feel safe and loved. Also, an open communication between myself and the parent(s) is a must. So to summarize, I am an open, honest, loving, friendly, playful babysitter looking to help you out when you're busy. Cheers! Emily I have taught dance to children ages 5-12. I have led summer camps the past two summers, which included participating in all the activities alongside the children, attending to any concerns or needs that they may have. Activities included academic work, athletics, science experiments, swimming, dancing, drama, music. The ages of the children in summer camp were from 4-14. I've also been a babysitter for nearly ten years now, and it is my full belief that babysitting should involve being engaged with the kids, playing with them and helping them learn and expand their knowledge about the world when possible. I was a nanny for one summer, and continued to babysit those children 3-4 times a week throughout the school year.
