Hello parents and guardians, My name is Megan Deveaux, I am 19 years old and have just completed my 2nd year of my 3 year program as a child and youth worker, working with children is not just a summer job for me, it is my future career choice. Your children\\\'s safety and well being is always my number one concern above all else. I have multiple certificates including, First Aid, CPR-C, ASSIT(Suicide prevention training) NVCI(non-violent crisis intervention) and Level 1 Diversity training. I have worked with all different children of different ages, with different needs and feel comfortable working in any type of situation. Thank you for your time, Megan Deveaux. :) I Am currently enrolled in the Child and Youth care program at Fleming college, in the past I have worked as a Camp coordinator at the Cramahe township fun camp for the summer of 2012, my duties were to organize and facilitate activities and games from large groups of children (30-40) from the ages of 5-15. as well as ensure their safety and well being throughout the day, I have also been placed in 2 different college placements, one being in Kenner intermediate school working with the children in grade 7 and 8. I was to help them with their school work, lend an ear to listen when ever they may have a problem or just needed someone to talk to, I also helped run the breakfast club and anti bullying week activities. My second placement was with Mon Ami children services working in a group home with 6 teenage boys. My general tasks were daily logs documenting any significant events that occurred during the day, meal prep, helping with chores, and keeping them occupied during the evenings and weekends.
