Nanny in Sechelt, British Columbia

Hello my names Amy, Im a 37 year old English nanny. I've been in Canada 8 years and recently acquired my permanent resident through nannying. I’m currently available Mon- Friday 8.30-4.39 Past experience- Since moving to Canada I've worked with a number of families with children 1yrs and up. Feb 2015 I finished working in England for a family with 4 children age between 2 and 10 for 1.5 years as I was no longer needed. Summer 2012 I finished 2 years of Au pairing in Chicago, USA! I loved the work and the families I worked with. During my first year I worked with a family and looked after one 2 year old girl. My duties required taking her too and from daycare, food, child\'s laundry, walking the dog, general help around the house. My second year I moved to a family with 3 children ages 7, 4 and 2. My duties mainly included helping round the house, dog care and generally being at home so there was someone there for the children at most times during the day. The mother liked to be hands on with the children as much as she could but I’d stand in if she needed me too. I had a great connection with the family and was unable to continue with them unfortunately as my visa expired. I love being part of a family and will happily join in with family activities. I am pretty independent and love keeping busy so like to go out with friends, running, swimming, beach, cinema, absolutely anything. Before leaving the UK to go to america I worked as a Swimming Teacher and Lifeguard for 3 years. I also was employed by David Lloyds Gym doing Swimming Teaching. I am a non smoker. Also hold a Canadian drivers license. I love keeping active- walking, running, swimming. I also have my grade 3 flute. I admit I haven't played in years and taught myself a little piano too. I am honest, trustworthy and a very hard worker. I am kind and caring with a firm but fair approach when it comes to working with children and also believe children need routines and boundaries. Qualifications:- Paediatric first aid Ofsted registered Level 2 Swimming Teacher Level 2 Gym Instructor NPLQ Lifeguard- recently expired Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science I am available to work most days, any time and I'm not afraid to work long hours.
