Hello, my name is Serena and I'm a mature woman with degrees in theatre and English. I enjoy playing and working with children of all ages, reading them stories, etc. I don't believe in putting kids in front of the TV playing solo TV games. I'm highly responsible and reliable. As I did with my own son 25 years ago, I can take your children to special classes, swimming, skating, crafts, etc. I'm originally from Calgary, and used to work in broadcasting and education. I taught at two colleges for a total of ten years, and then later, in 2001, I went to Hong Kong and stayed for six years teaching English and drama, then Shanghai for a year, etc. I retired in 2009, and returned to BC in 2011. I moved to Victoria this past April, and love it here. Taught kindergarten and grades 1-4 for 8 years. Have taken care of friends children, done some tutoring also, and have cared for granddaughter in Vancouver.
