Hello! My name is Mikayla and I am a recent graduate from the environmental science program at Concordia University and I am looking for a part time position in Montreal for the entire school year. In 2007 I was a YMCA camp counselor at Geneva Park in Ontario. My areas of speciality included teaching canoeing/kayaking as well as arts and crafts to ages ranging from 3-13. My recent position as a community gardens coordinator involved designing educational children's programs for 2-4 year olds, 7-10 year olds and youth 14 that revolved around nature exploration. I led trips and tours around local gardens and parks in order to teach kids and youth about nature and basic biology! Hands on art projects were combined with nature trips to encourage learning and participation.
