Hello my name is Juliet, I am nursery teacher in a primary school in Birmingham England, and I am looking for the opportunity to develop my skills in working with and supporting children and families more intimately. Over the last few years I have been lucky enough to work with and support a range of amazing, hilarious and challenging children and families. It is something that I love doing! I love developing that relationship with families and knowing that I have made a positive impact on them and their children. It was as a result of working with and establishing these relationships with families, that I went into teaching. As a result of working with the parents of a child on the autistic spectrum, I was encouraged by the mother who was a teacher, to go into teaching. Over the last 4 years, I have pursued this ambition and as a result, I am now a fully qualified, experienced teacher in charge of the care, learning and development of the 60 3-4 year olds in my care. Although I love teaching, I feel compelled to branch out and focus on working with children and families more intensively. It is this area of learning that I find the most rewarding, and I feel it is one of the most important things in developing an open, satisfying and positive relationship with both children and families. I am looking for a family where I can not only establish an open, honest and positive relationship with but one where I feel that I can make a positive impact on the learning and development of the children. Although I am looking to leave teaching I still would like to support children in their learning, helping them with homework, school tasks, as well as encouraging opportunities for learning. Working with children to ensure that they are working towards achieving their full potential in a fun and engaging way is something I believe I can bring to any nanny role. I am a fun, energetic and outgoing person who believes in hard work, good relationships and opportunities. Opportunities to create memories, to develop learning and to help someone on their way to achieving their full potential. I am looking for the opportunity to develop as a nanny and to show my true potential and I only hope that I will have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills, behaviours and knowledge I have developed over the last few years of working with children and families. Hello my name is Juliet, I am a nursery teacher working in a primary school in Birmingham, looking to relocate and pursue another avenue of work. I have been working with children for over 5 years now, working in private nurseries as well as primary maintained nurseries. Over the last 5 and more years, I have worked with a range of different families and individuals, planning, observing and supporting parents and children with a range of needs. I have worked with numerous individuals and agencies and worked with different families to support children and families the best I can. I have undertaken courses and training on dealing with children with Asthma and severe allergies and have had epi-pen training on numerous occasions within my school. I have undertaken safeguarding and child protection training within my setting and have been trained to plan effectively and work as part of a team. As part of my role as nursery teacher and practitioner, I have planned and successfully implemented, rota's routines, timetables and interventions for the 30 individual children in my care. I believe routine is necessary and establishing these as well as clear guidelines for expectations and behaviour is very important and I feel this has been why I have been able to ensure that all the children within my care are safe and happy individuals who grow and make significant progress in their learning. Establishing a good relationship and being open and transparent with families is something I believe is important in ensuring a positive relationship. as such, I always aim to establish a good line of communication with everyone I work with and ensure that I take all individuals thoughts, feelings, ideas and interests into consideration with everything I plan or do. Over the last 5 years I have worked with children from the age of 6 months up to 7 years. I have worked mainly in primary and private nurseries, but I have also worked with families before either as a nanny or as a mothers help. In the circumstance of the mothers help, I was required to plan and implement a routine for both her 9 month old and her 5/6 year old. I was required to take and collect her child from school and care for her youngest, feeding, bathing and caring for him while helping to clean, shop and carry out small jobs for the mother. Within any role take on, I am more than happy to undergo any of these small household chores once briefed on what is required of me. I do not irk from hard work and I relish the chance to work with and support new families as much as I can. I hope to have the opportunity to work with someone soon and prove myself, I am a fun loving, energetic and friendly person and I look forward to hopefully working with you and your family soon.
