Hello! My name is Hilary Squire and I am currently working part-time as a one-on-one support worker for children in foster care who require some extra assistance in learning life and social skills. I have always loved working with children and have spent this last year getting experience working with children who have special needs. While the majority of my hands on experience is related to autism spectrum disorder, I am a fast learner and recognize that a lot of the tools and skills I\'ve gained can be applied to a lot of different children who have different needs. I have an education background in social work as well as psychology and have taken training for Applied Behaviour Analysis at Thames Valley Children\'s Centre. I would love to provide respite for families as well as offer assistance in achieving goals that you have for your child! I have had a lifetime of experience working with children! My experience ranges from camp counselor to one-on-one support work for children with special needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder. I have worked with all ages of children from infants to teenagers, and have taken psychology classes related to both age groups. I have also worked in child centered programs such as a storytelling (literacy) program. I have also been employed/volunteered where I have been responsible to create age-appropriate programming and activities for a variety of children.
