Hello my name is Alissa, and i would love to be your child care provider. I have worked in child care for 18 years. I am friendly and outgoing. I love to plan and implement fun educational activities that help a child develop physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually(if that is the parents wishes). I believe in teaching and modeling respect for all living things. I love to craft,paint and sculpt in my spare time. I also enjoy cooking and baking. I am a very organized person. I believe that every day life presents new opportunities for us all to learn and grow. I have worked in child care centers, as a respite worker, and a nanny. I am working towards my Teachers assistant certificate from Red River. It is the small wonders that make caring for children so rewarding. I also believe in nurturing a child\'s natural intelligence. I am knowledgeable in the different learning styles( Kinesthetic, Auditory,and visual) and using these to help a child grow and learn to the best advantage. I also enjoy animals so if you have a pets that is not a problem for me as i have two cats of my own. I enjoy going on outings with the children i look after and when i worked in day care, as it provides a new environment for children to learn about so many things in life. I love to go for walks in parks and take a ball to play with or just climb around on the play structure. Along with having my child care assistant certificate i also have my first aid with CPR as well as my Non violent crisis intervention certificate.
