Hello! I am Kathryn, a MACTE accredited Montessori Casa Directress with ECE courses. I have 16 years experience in working with children in a Montessori family childcare setting and in a Montessori classroom. I love the wonder revealed when children explore the world around them and create themselves. While each child is born with their own personality, it is the early years that provide the bases for their interaction in the years to come. Providing a safe and loving environment, in collaboration with parents, creates a great foundation for fostering a love of learning, a joy in discovery and a connection to the community and nature around them. To be privileged to help parents in caring for their most precious responsibility is a joy and an honour. I have a clear criminal records check/vulnerable sector check, a current First Aid/CPR/AED certificate, valid class G license and my Montessori Casa Directress Diploma. A MACTE accredited Montessori Casa Directress, I have taught in Montessori classrooms and run Montessori based family childcare for 16 years. This included observation of the children, programming to meet the child where they are and offer them opportunities for gradual growth, meeting the physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual needs of the children, organizing special activities, maintaining journals on each child and working in collaboration with the parent to create a loving, secure and safe environment for the children to explore the world. I have worked with children from birth to 14 years old, and children with special needs.
