Hello, my name is Courtney Hayes I am currently enrolled in the George Brown Early Childhood Educator program. I have my CPR and First aid Level C (for infant to adult). I also have my Police Vulnerable Sector Check (with mental health) as well as all of my medical requirements to work in a child care facility or kindergarten classroom. I am currently available for casual babysitting on evenings and weekends depending on my weekly schedule. I have a background in Technical Theatre Arts; I love to paint, craft, read, bake, play games, do puzzles, act silly, explore the great outdoors, and create my own adventures! I have lived in Toronto for over 7 years, so I know my way around the transit system. I have a lot of experience working with children from ages 1 to 15. I worked in two different kid’s art studios for a total of 6 years, starting off as a Facilitator, then Manager and finally a Studio Director. As the Studio Director I was running two studios for a period of almost 3 years (so I know how to multi task). I would not only teach the classes, but I also designed the curriculum structure and ensured the safety of all of my students. I am super organized and yet love to get messy (you should see my paint pants!) I am not one for just lazing around and watching something on TV. Kids love structure, and I like learning from them and cultivating their interests. Whether that is dramatic play, a board game, doing a fun art project, or getting some fresh air.
