Nanny in Regina, Saskatchewan

I'm an
Individual
Hello Families! My name is JT Phillips and I\'d like the honour of being part of your child care plan. I love working with kids. I\'ve been involved with children my whole life in many different ways, and now I want to bring all of my experience together for the benefit of one family. I started out babysitting my younger twin sisters, and from there I went on to teach Sunday School, run Youth Groups, lead summer camps, and become a mentor for 2 amazing boys through the Big Brothers of Regina program. I bring a high level of hands-on care to the nanny position, and as a male nanny, I\'m not afraid to roughhouse and get messy. I don\'t think a nanny should just sit around on Facebook while the kids play, I think a good nanny gets in there and plays too! Boys are also proven to take direction and guidance better from males, and a positive male role model is shown to increase confidence and self-esteem. I believe in healthy eating, I\'m a non-smoker, I have a mother who taught me the value of a clean home, and am willing to work hard and show just how dedicated a Manny I can be. I love planning fun activities for kids, from all ranges on the spectrum, from sports and the outdoors, to art projects and science experiments. I believe that if you want your kids to be excited about something you have to be excited about it yourself, so I make sure to plan activities that are fun for everyone. I believe in being fair in discipline, and always exercise a level-head and calm demeanour when a child is mis-behaving. I may be a fun Manny, but I also know when and how to put the boot down for a child of any age. If you\'re looking for a positive respectful young manny who can be there for your family, who shows up in the morning with coffee and jumps right in to the thick of things, and who you can trust with the well being and needs of your children, I strongly suggest giving me a call. I promise that your family will benefit from it. :) - JT - I've been a mentor with Big Brother of Regina for 4 years and have had 2 little brothers over that time, age 12 and 7 respectively. I plan activities, offer mentorship, and provide care to my little when he is with me. I also coached my little's soccer team, and have coached other youth sports. - I was head counsellor two years for a Sask. Gov't Summer camp. My duties included planning activities and being responsible for 3 other counsellors and between 40-60 children, ages 6-12. I was also responsible for discipline, injuries, and all other issues. On any given day, 3 other counsellers and I would take 30 kids on a nature hike all morning coordinating meals, rests, bathroom breaks, and every other possible problem along the way, then return to camp and swim with the kids in the afternoon. Multiple kids doesn't bother me in the slightest. - As a younger man I babysat regularly, and ran both youth group and a Sunday school in my old church.
