Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

Hello :) My name is Sandy and I am 26 years old. I believe you will find me to be a dedicated worker who is well qualified to provide the motivation and direction children and youth need to be happy and successful. I am currently doing an advanced diploma program in Child and Youth Work and also a recent honours graduate as a sociology major with a minor in psychology from York University. I am very interested in developing skills to work effectively with young children, and adolescents. I am a mother of a handsome boy and a beautiful girl and have been working with children for well over ten years now. Educating and working with children is my passion and there is no place I\'d rather be. As a mother, student, volunteer, and well-rounded provider, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse number of children, thus enhancing my techniques and instructional methods and providing me with excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills. I have taken on responsibilities that require me to be flexible, motivated, and responsible and I strongly believe these skills would be very valuable to your family. I have been a babysitter/nanny for over ten years in both Canada and the USA. I took a few years off to complete my university degree and raise my own children at the same time. I have worked with more than five families over the years, and also worked and volunteered in a number of child care centres across Toronto. I currently still volunteer for Frontier College as a tutor and run occasional tutoring workshops in the summer. I am also completing a placement as a Child and Youth Worker at an elementary school in Toronto. My children are now ages 5 and 3 and attend school, they would not be coming to work with me unless specifically requested.
