Hello! My name is Amanda Smith, and I am seeking a family that I can help and support. I am by trade an opera stage director who recently graduated from the University of Toronto Opera Division as a stage director. Previous to this, I studied classical music as a vocalist at Wilfrid Laurier University. Last March I was brought on to assist an opera with the Canadian Children\'s Opera Company, which was an incredibly experience. Since then, I have been invited back to teach drama classes as well as direct their cabaret. I am a very creative, energetic and observant person. I am looking to work with a family that is interested in having their children exposed to culture, both in the home and out. Depending on the family, I would prepare daily activities, so to both entertain and development the children I\'m caring for. We would have a lot of fun and grow while doing it! I have worked as a drama instructor, running drama classes for ages 3-12 and have assisted their stage director for their year-end production. As the assistant director, I ran rehearsals on a number of occasions and helped the children understand the concepts being created by the director. I have worked with groups of children, ranging from seven to over a hundred children.
