Hello, My name is Alison and I am a well-rounded and self-motivated individual, a trait I feel is very important in becoming successful. I have long felt the desire to teach, motivate and guide children which is reflected in my experiences. I have a degree in Psychology and just finished my first year at the University of Ottawa in the Bachelors of Education primary/junior teaching program. I enjoy working with children and have many years experience with babysitting, day care setting, teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding. My CPR and First Aid is up to date and I have a criminal record check. I am a very responsible highly organized person with a positive outlook on life. I lead a very healthy active lifestyle as well :). Working with children has always been a passion of mine. Helping them build confidence and the skills to lead a successful life is very important to me. My future career goal is to attain my Bachelor of Education to become a primary school teacher. Since the age of 16, I have been an Instructor and Lifeguard at two YMCA’s; teaching a variety of ages (newborns-12), abilities, and class types.
