Nanny in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hello, I welcome you to take a look at my profile. I have spent the most part of my working life providing support to families and their children, either as a nanny and later on as a coordinator within family support programs. I have currently just graduated with a degree in nutrition from Acadia University. My eventual goal is to obtain my designation as a dietitian so I can take that knowledge and continue to support families grow and thrive to be healthy and happy. I am currently living in Lr. Sackville. I am looking for employment that will start as soon as possible. I am available for part time or possibly full time opportunities. I am planning to take part time or online courses this coming fall to help take me closer to a dietetic certification. Graduated with my ECE Diploma in 1993...was employed as a nanny for 4 years and 2 different families.... Responsible for looking after all needs of the child/children....ie: providing nutritious meals and snacks, taking into account any special dietary concerns, playing with and providing educational opportunities for child/children, going on outings, taking and picking up from school, play dates, dance lessons, etc. getting children dressed in the morning and sometimes putting them to bed at night. Provided a safe,nurturing, secure environment during the time that I was with them. Extra duties included children s laundry, cleaning of children s areas, picking up groceries, preparing meals, ...management of household for the time that I was there. Worked from 2000 - 2... in family support programs... Facilitated school readiness for children under 5years Facilitated parent child inter programming Developed and facilitated mom and baby groups and parent workshops. coordinated programming for young mothers and their children Supervised child care for parent workshops Planned and prepared menus for snacks and refreshment for any and all workshops or programming.
