Hello my name is Heather and I am currently a supply Registered Early Childhood Educator for the Waterloo Region District School Board. Right now I live in Grimsby and I am looking to be a child care provider for this coming summer 2016. As a dedicated, responsible, and caring Early Childhood Educator, my goal is to be a role model, teacher, and friend to the child/ren. I have the proven ability to build trust and confidence to achieve positive outcomes through mentoring and assisting techniques. My educational background, and hands on experience in this field has shown I am passionate about working with children. During my education and being an Early Childhood Educator I have gained experience teaching for toddlers, preschool, and school age children. Creating appropriate environments that supports play and learning, implemented and facilitated activities, and developed strong partnerships. I am a strong believer that being spontaneous, a co-learner with the child/ren, and child/ren being active learners is an aspect of child development. Children who engage and explore through hands on experience can develop a lot of skills such as physical, communication, cognitive, emotional, and social skills. All children should be challenged, but also be able to have fun and express themselves. They are worthy of respect and kindness. As an enthusiastic and creative Early Childhood Educator I meet the needs of the child/ren and have their interest best at heart. The career I have chosen is taken very seriously to me.
