Dear family, I am excited to get to know you better, but first let me introduce myself a bit more, to make your decision easier. My name is Jasmina Smailagic, and I have been living in Canada for the last 5 and a half years. My educational background is in education, in Bosnia I have studied English language and literature and education and my degree is recognized in Canada as the BA in Education. Besides education, I bring 10 years of experience in working with children of different age groups through my teaching of English language ( 3 – 7 years old) as well as through my nannying in Europe and as Live-In Caregiver in Canada from Oct 2015 till June 2018. Among other qualifications, I hold the TELS Certification and have been volunteering in the TIES Society as the Reading tutor and ESL Instructor as well as being their part-time LINC instructor for some time. Work with children has always been more true to me and fulfilled since it provides me with the opportunity to care for the individual that will contribute to the world one day. Supporting children’s growth and development through appropriate programs that support their cognitive, physical and logical functions are of crucial importance to me since it will provide the best learning environment for the child.
