Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hello! My name is Sarah, I'm in my twenties and live NW Calgary with my fince. As a child I attended a home daycare where I loved helping my nanny look after the younger children, I have always had a passion for child care. I was a babysitter throughout high-school and took a Co-Op course in high-school at a local daycare for four months. I grew up in Toronto. I have my Early Childhood Assistant Ontario Certificate from George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, in Alberta this is an equivalent to Child Development Assistant (formerly Level 1). During my college experience we had two semesters and each semester we volunteered at daycare, doing two full day shift weekly. I cared for toddlers aged 1.5-2.5 years and pre-schoolers aged 2.5-4 years. I am completely comfortable caring for infants (diapering and bottle feeding) and older school aged children as well. I really enjoy being active with children, being engaged and present, playing games indoors and out, reading books, playing make believe and doing arts and crafts. I really enjoy watching and helping children explore and grown through play. I am a very easy going, happy, calm and approachable person, I find I get along with children very well. Sorry cannot drive, I just got my learners license and will not be a fully licensed driver for another year, but I am happy to walk or take transit with children. I am happy to cook for children, I am comfortable and confident in the kitchen. I am open to doing light housework, cleaning up dishes, picking up toys, tidying and occasional laundry. Very comfortable with pets, have two dogs of my own, walking family dogs is something I am open to doing. I also have my First Aid CPR.
