Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

Full time live-in Nanny (40 hours weekly) wanted for family of 5 in North Vancouver. Accommodations include separated private area (exterior entrance, private bathroom, living space and bedroom with lock separating to family living space). Impeccable driving record is absolutely necessary - 10 years experience preferred, driving interview a condition of employment. We are contract workers and our schedules are unpredictable. Sometimes they are very simple, sometimes anything but. We tend to work in Vancouver (minimal travelling). We are good about respecting boundaries and your time off. We ask, not assume. We are happy to have a conversation always, but that said we need someone who is professional, an adult, kind, compassionate and who recognizes that boundaries and structure allow children to flourish. You must be consistent and articulate and engaged. An example of what they should strive to be. We are looking for someone that has organizing skills and is a leader, manages social media outside of work hours and understands cooking nutritious meals is absolutely necessary. Our children help, they have chores and are required to be active members of the family, they love it! They are active, engaged kids who love a good challenge, conversation or adventure. But they are not to be used to fill the role of the caregiver. Required Skills: Excellent English, strong communication and problem solving skills. You must be passionate, educated and energetic with a strong ability to communicate. Ability to swim and supervise water activities required. Criminal Record Check required. Weekly duties include: communication with parents, homework supervision and light grocery shopping, nutritional meal preparation, driving to school and after school activities, care of family pet and light housekeeping (laundry, floor washing, bathrooms and general tiding). Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Experience/Education Required: Minimum of 2 year previous experience as a child care provider with some post-secondary education and a love to learn/ explore is absolutely necessary.
