Warm greetings, We are are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to assist us with the care of our two young children, a boy aged 4 and a 19 months old girl. We are a couple running an organic farm located close to Consecon in Prince Edward County (please see www.....ca). Within the context of this project and its close proximity to beautiful forests and beaches, we offer since 2016 an outdoor-focused home based daycare for 5 children aged 2-4 under the supervision of an accredited ECE. Our daycare runs from Wednesday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm. The position that we need to fulfill is flexible according to the qualifications, interests and passions of the candidate: 1) our immediate need is to obtain assistance (around 20-30 hours, 4-5 days per week) with the care of our baby girl who is too young to attend the daycare. Our boy would also need care on Mondays and Tuesdays when the daycare is closed. The position requires some light housekeeping, mainly laundry, tidying and cooking; 2) this position could also be combined with ECE hours at our daycare if we expand the program to five days per week. We truly believe this is an amazing opportunity for an educator who shares the same passion for outdoor-based education for children. We are very much inspired by alternative educational approaches such as Waldorf and Montessori. Finding a candidate who shares the same mindset is a must.
