Nanny Job in De Winton, Alberta

Hello, Mike and Helen here. We are looking for some extra help with our lovely 13 year old boy, Cooper. We are looking for full time live out help. Your roles would include feeding and bathing him. He has no issues with feeding, just lacks coordination to be able to feed himself. Same with bath time. Cooper weighs 45 lbs so he is easy to move around (Mama is 120 lbs and has no problems.) We also have portable lifts, bath lifts, ceiling lifts and a porch lift for the wheelchair, as well as a wheelchair accessible vehicle. I think these roles are similar to taking care of any child his age, other than having to move him around. He really is the easiest child in the world to take care of and the lucky girl we find to help with him will fall in love with his personality, as we all have !! We are looking for a full-time live-out position at this time with between 25-35 hrs a week. The starting wage will be $19-22 an hour based on experience, and if the fit is right this will quickly increase. We realize that with him being in school full-time, many of these hours will be in the evening. We are willing to be quite flexible with the right candidate. Previous experience of working with someone with a physical disability is an asset but certainly not required. All that is required is a patient, loving and open-minded attitude!
