Busy family of four seeking a high energic au pair. Ever thought about living in the beautiful Okanagan? Here is your chance to live in wine country surrounded by lakes and mountains. World class ski resorts to world class wines. We are very excited to welcome an AuPair into our small family. My wife and I are looking for someone who is able to engage with our two active and sporty boys and join them in their activities. Our boys are so full of life and love to be outside and active. We live in a beautiful part of Canada and take advantage of everything it has to offer. We spend a great deal of time at the lake in the summer and out skating or sledding in the winter time. Its important to our family that our AuPair is willing to be out and active with us. We want our AuPair to feel like they are part of our family and feel welcomed. We require an AuPair to assist with caring for our two children who are 4 & 7 years old. Job requirements will include: -Playing with the children; -Outdoor & indoor activities with the children; -Preparing healthy snacks and meals (dinner once to twice per week) -Light house work (tidying up, emptying dishwasher, kids laundry, etc); -Bathing and preparing children for bed; -Getting children ready for school in the morning, assist with making lunches etc...; - driving kids to after school activities; - Appropriately disciplining the children; -Having fun with the kids; We require our AuPair to live in with our family and will provide a large bedroom and bathroom in the walk out basement of our beautiful home. We live in Coldstream , British Columbia (Vernon) and our home is minutes away from the Lake/Beach. We have a cottage on the lake that our family spends a great deal of time at in the summer. We are also near a beautiful ski resort in the winter time. Our AuPair will be required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week. Currently our au pair averaged 30-35 hrs / wk Room and board will be free and salary/wage is negotiable depending on your experience. You must hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. You must also be energetic and have an outgoing personality. We are a fun and laid back family that are social and very busy. We spend most of our nights at the hockey rink in the winter and Lacross boxes during the spring / summer. The schedule each week will vary as we have one shift worker and one Monday - Friday worker. Your schedule will be provided to you a month in advance. You must be open to evenings and weekend work. You will receive one week of paid holidays for every 6 months of work.
