Good afternoon, My name is Emma Shaw and I am a recent graduate of Mount Allison University. I completed an honors thesis in psychological studies and also have a history minor. I love working with children and have much experience doing so in both a professional and volunteer setting. I truly enjoy spending time with and learning from children of all age groups. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I greatly look forward to hearing from you and your family. Kindly, Emma L. Shaw Preschool Teacher: As a preschool teacher I am responsible for supervising approximately twenty three to four year old children. Each day involves activities which aim to develop various developmental abilities such as fine motor skills and creative practices. Summer Coordinator of the Sackville Public Library: As the lead coordinator I was responsible for organizing, planning, and implementing focused activities at a public library for children between the ages of four and twelve. This involved daily activities in the areas of art, literacy, and athletics. Head Counselor of a Day Camp: My role involved planning and facilitating teamwork activities for children aged three to 13 years. As a counselor, I was responsible for creating and managing learning activities for developing social-communication skills, leadership, and conflict resolution. This involved facilitating peer-interactions, teaching active problem solving, and providing emotional and physical care to a diverse group of individuals. Assistant Summer Reading Club Coordinator: As assistant coordinator of the summer reading program I was responsible for aiding in the planning, preparation, and implementation of a weekly literacy program for children between the ages of four and twelve. Volunteer at York Street Daycare: Once a week I was to spend the morning with the three to four year old group and assist the daycare programmer. I also engaged in many activities with the children such as arts and crafts, literacy circles, and free-play time.
