Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

My name is Emily and I am 22 years old. I am currently enrolled in my second year of Early Childhood Education part time through the distance learning program with St. Lawrence College. Ever since I was young it has always been a dream of mine to work with children. I am excited to finally be able to make my dreams a reality. I have 7 years of experience working with The City of Ottawa running the primary and school aged section in before and after school programs, along with summer camps. I have also had two placements with infants and toddlers in the Early Childhood Education program. As I am only in school part time this year I am looking to dedicate my time to a family as a live out Nanny, full or part time. I believe that my experience and passion for working with children could really benefit a family who is looking for a trustworthy, responsible, patient and reliable presence in their home. As a Nanny I believe it is my job to provide a fun, loving and educational environment of play catered to each child as an individual. As I get to know each child I work with I am able to provide them with ways to learn and play that suit their needs and personality. Every child is different and unique. It is important to me to get to know the family that I work with so that parents feel at ease when they have to leave. I will respect and incorporate your personal values, requests and routines for the children into the environment at all times. I am able to help with cooking, pets and cleaning as well if need be.
