My name is Payton! I recently worked as a teacher's aid in a friendly licensed preschool back in California. I have plenty of hands on experience with children including potty training, problem solving, and all sorts of fun games that aid in cognitive development! However, my experience doesn't halt at a preschool setting. I have also been an independent contractor with an agency that provides childcare for vacationers visitting the island of Kauai! This experience has made me step up my game in the crafts department, as all the Nannys had to bring their own activities to engage the children with- ages ranging from infancy to adolecence. The best experience I've had however, was being able to be a long term full time nanny with some lovely people who have become like family to me. I think that's one of the most important aspects of nanny-family relationships. Trust, communication, empathy, and perhaps a good sense of humor. A little bit about myself, I am currently taking Early Childhood Education classes to learn as much as I can in regards to our future generations. I have a passion for learning, whether that's hands on or online! I love nature, exploring new ideas, and being active. I also find myself to be a "creative type", I enjoy scrapbooking or making any kind of cute crafts. Lucky for me, kids also enjoy these fun activities. I'm the kind of person who can find fun and joy in any task or errand; someone who is reliable and passionate about helping others.
