Nanny in Windsor, Ontario

Hello! My name is Katie, I am 25 years old and a loving, caring, creative person. I recently moved to Windsor from London, and currently work as a supply in the Windsor Essex School Board and work at a daycare! I previously worked at Storybook Gardens in London for approximately 6 years and have fallen in love with child care. At Storybook Gardens I was a part of the "Entertainment Staff", which means I would: dress in my character of the Storybook Gardens Princess, host dance parties, take part in musicals, take part in puppet shows, supervise multiple children of all ages and abilities, read stories very energetically, make crafts with the little ones, plan birthday parties and so much more! This job has trained me to be the best possible Nanny! It has taught me how to be a very fun, creative, passionate caregiver but to also ensure safety is always first. Over the past few years, I have been immersed in child care though nannying (newborn - age 10) I am currently a Registered Early Childhood Educator. I am CPR and first aid trained as well as I have other certifications such as, “Kids Have Stress Too!” I not only hold an Early Childhood Education diploma, but also an honours bachelor of sciences within early childhood studies and I am very close to finishing my bachelor of education. I have supervised children in splashpads and while swimming as well. I have learned different strategies for each age group to ensure they have fun with being safe with my child care. I am a very happy, bubbly, musically inclined person. I excel with children who have special needs as well. Throughout my high school years I have been involved in the best buddies program and it has been so rewarding. To this day, I still work with many children with special needs.
