Nice to meet you! My name is Maryka. I'm a 24 year old university of Calgary graduate looking for meaningful and fun employment that will highlight my unique skill-set. Professionally I am a linguist by trade, with a specialization in speech-language sciences. In terms of my experience: In addition to child-care and babysitting experience throughout my adolescence and young-adulthood, I also have previous over-seas experience as a live-in nanny in Germany, which has provided me the tool-kit to competently care for children ages 1mo and older. I have experience in healthy meal prep, pick-up and drop-off/scheduling, housework, and creativity based entertainment, and much more! I love to get active and play outside or somewhere exciting, as I feel exercise and interaction with the broader community is important to psychosocial development. Are the littles home sick? No problem! I am a singer-songwriter with lots of fun instruments or programs to try, and I love to bake, do arts and crafts, or host tea parties! I am reliable, hard-working, diligent, and excited to assist in the development and care of future Calgarians. I am bilingual in English and German, and have an auxiliary level of skill in French. I am also conversational in Spanish, but would likely need assistance in a Spanish only home. I have a full class-5 drivers license and am able to shuttle if necessary, however I do not currently own my own vehicle. Additionally, I am working towards renewing my CPR training, however I currently require financial assistance in obtaining my certification, and am willing to negotiate a deductable from a first pay-period if that is a possibility for you! I'm looking for a steady, reliable employment opportunity, in which I can build and establish a connection which is both professional, and personal; I know we aren't family, but I hope to curate a relationship that resembles that dynamic! About my services: In addition to child-care, I also have dog-walking and pet-care experience, as well as house-sitting, and landscaping/yard maintenance and am offering my services at $18/h. Regarding a child-care position, I offer daily drop-ins at a negotiable hourly rate of a minimum of $18, with a $5/10 minutes late fee charge outside of extenuating circumstances. If you are interested in contract based work, or weekly/long term, I am happy to negotiate a daily/weekly price with you as well at a minimum of $55 per day, with a reduced fee for siblings.
