PROFILE: We are a professional couple with two sons, ages 2 and 4. We are looking for an experienced live-in or live-out nanny to provide full-time childcare, including feeding, nurturing and entertaining them, and to assume household responsibilities. SCHEDULED WORKING HOURS: This position is full-time. Hours will be vary somewhat depending on our weekly schedules, but will be primarily from 730am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend hours. MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Playing with our children on an interactive level Implementing daily routines Undertaking age appropriate creative, educational, indoor and outdoor activities Reinforcing appropriate discipline as per our direction and guidance Arranging play dates Going for walks Reading books Preparing meals for our children and family Bringing children to and from their scheduled activities Getting the children dressed in weather-appropriate and activity-appropriate attire Planning and supervising rest, bed and nap times Cleaning and washing up after meals Changing diapers and clothing, as well as doing family laundry Tidying bedroom and play areas Running errands REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school graduate 2. Community College Diploma or classes from an Early Childhood Education program or equivalent is preferred 3. Proven child care experience with infants/toddlers, preferably a minimum of 3 years, with references 4. Individual must be patient, caring, fun loving, easy to get along with, flexible with time and disciplined. 5. Non-smoker 6. Hold valid Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certifications, or willingness to obtain 7. Fluent in English 8. Fluent in a second language is an asset but not required (e.g. French, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, Farsi) 9. Appropriate immunizations (including Hepatitis B and TB) or willingness to obtain immunizations as a condition of employment (documentation will be requested if interview granted) 10. Police check conducted and cleared, or willingness to have one done as a condition of employment 11. Ideally hold a valid drivers license, with a good driving record 12.
