Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Professional couple in residential, central Toronto neighbourhood need a full-time nanny for their 6-year-old and 1-year-old daughters and 4-year-old son. At least 36 hours over a 4-day week, with occasional evening and weekend duties. This is not a live-in caregiver position. Accommodation will not be provided. Preference will be given to citizens and permanent residents of Canada. First Nations applicants and newcomers to Canada are welcome. Responsibilities: Supervise and care for the children in employers' home. Structure and monitor recreational activities, including reading stories. Nurture development of social and learning skills. Walk school-age children to and from school. Prepare lunches and dinners for children. Maintain cleanliness and good order of spaces used by the children and do their laundry. Expected Qualifications: High level of proficiency in spoken and written English. At least one year of experience as nanny for pre-school children or early childhood educator. Formal training in early childhood education preferred. Requirements: Criminal record clearance(s). First Aid and CPR training. Verifiable references. Wages: $15.00 per hour Required education: Post-Secondary Diploma/Certificate. Required experience: Nanny or Early Childhood Educator - at least one year.
