Job Title Full-Time Nanny Start Date September 1st, 2015 Location Guelph, Ontario Position Description As part of a nanny share, you would serve as a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to three children. One child will be 22 months and one 13 months at start-date. The third child has not yet been confirmed. You would provide in-home care, rotating between each home per week. Major Responsibilities ● Create a stimulating and safe environment that nurtures the children’s mind, body and spirit ● Set and uphold boundaries with the children ● Bring structure to the children’s day in a way that does not limit choice and creative thinking ● Plan and lead educational, creative, imaginative, and social activities ● Promote healthy, active living-play alongside the children, both indoors and outdoors ● Encourage choice and independence ● Supervise the children’s activities at all times ● Prepare pre-planned meals for the children ● Place the children down for naps and uphold nap schedules ● Change diapers and support potty training as needed ● Tidy the house with the support of the children at the end of each day Personal Characteristics As a nanny you would: ● Place an emphasis on inclusion and respect for diversity ● Demonstrate an appreciation of the environment and encourage outdoor play ● Bring kindness and compassion into all interactions with the children ● Show respect and authenticity toward the children ● Be reliable, honest, and trustworthy ● Be organized and forward thinking ● Be an effective communicator (express needs and provide feedback to parents) ● Be comfortable with pets in the homes Job Qualifications and Requirements ● Experience caring for children under the age of 2 ● First aid training and child and infant CPR ● English proficiency Working Hours and Conditions ● 8:30-5:0... days a week, excluding statutory holidays ● 12 month commitment ● $50 a day per child for 2 full-time children and $141.12 a week for one part-time child ● Care will be provided in clean, non-smoking homes with toys, craft supplies and indoor/ outdoor play areas available Thank you for your interest!
