Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

Our family is seeking an experienced full-time nanny on a live-in or live-out basis (live-in preferred) to care for our twin daughters who will start junior kindergarten in the Fall. My wife and I are a professional couple who work downtown and occasionally travel for work. Also living in the home is the girls' grandfather who works in the area. We are looking for a nanny who would work the hours of 2pm-7:30pm on weekdays. Our current nanny has been with the family for four years and has decided to move closer to her family. Your routine: The girls will be going to full-time school within walking distance of our home (10 minutes away) and my wife and I will be dropping them off in the morning. Your day might start with laundry and tidying activities limited to the girls’ things - we have a full time housekeeper so housekeeping duties would be relatively light - and then meeting the girls at their school at the end of classes. You might take them to a local park, go to an organized afternoon program in the area, or, at home, play games or do puzzles. You would likely want to serve dinner after 6pm, so some meal prep time in the afternoon would be needed. My wife and I would plan to be home for dinner, however a regular meal time for the girls is most important. After dinner you might organize some colouring, reading or TV watching as well as setting out the girls’ clothes for the next day. My wife and I would put the girls to bed. I would expect that there would be some occasional babysitting duties into the evening hours. Our ideal candidate would be an honest, friendly, active and mature person who would encourage the girls to try various activities including games, reading and math.
