Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hello! I am looking for a part time childcare/babysitting position. I have always enjoyed babysitting, and the moment I turned 13 I took the babysitting certification course. I have been a part time nanny/babysitter for 9 years. Because I am a full time student I am looking for part time hours for families who are looking for evening/weekend childcare. Each visit I will focus on what the parents goals are for their children, whether that's spending more time being active or focusing on homework! Availability (Part time, Flexible): - Available weekday evenings - Available weekends - Available PD days A bit about me: I am a full time student finishing my Bachelor of English with honours at the University of Calgary, and I hope to pursue an after degree in Education. I am passionate about education, and childhood development has always interested me. I started University as a Science major and quickly realized that my love for Austen, Shakespeare, Hardy, etc., was much stronger than my love for biology. I switched into the department of English, and since then I have been focusing on literature and literary theory. I recently decided that I would take an extra year to finish my degree so that I could write my honours thesis. I am very passionate about equality, and my interest in childhood development has led me to focus on children's literature and feminist theory for my honours project. Outside of school I love cooking (especially without a recipe), and I enjoy spending as much time as I can outside. I've been volunteering at an Elementary school in a Grade 1 classroom once a week for 2 years. Before I was at St. Ruperts I volunteered at a seniors center organizing crafts and events for the residents. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
