Nanny Job in Surrey, British Columbia

We are seeking a nanny to assist with our three beautiful daughters aged 7, 8 and 12. Our three girls are incredible little people who will steal your heart. Our eldest in particular is a courageous fighter with a trying story. At 20 months old, she and her twin sister (previously our nieces) were caught in an apartment fire where she sustained severe burns and an anoxic brain injury. Sadly, her twin sister succumbed to her injuries and our daughter spent almost a year in hospital. Initially, she was not expected to survive, when she did, it was expected that she would live in a vegetative state. Her birth parents felt that they would not be able to care for her so we adopted her shortly after she was discharged from hospital. She did not let the odds hold her back and because of her drive and tenacity, she is now talking, walking (with the assistance of a walker), reading, writing, playing with her sisters and peers and gracing all who meet her with her sense of humor. One can’t help but to fall for her cheekiness. Our littler girls are full of love and compassion for their older sister and are a big help with her extra needs. In addition to being a positive role model, setting boundaries, laughing and playing, wiping tears and giving hugs… Duties will include; assisting the girls to get ready for school (meal prep, bathing, helping to dress, administering medication to eldest), school drop offs and pickups, after school care, as well as transportation to weekly appointments and extra-curricular activities. We are looking for 7am to 9am, then 2pm to 6pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternating Wednesdays (with some flexibility to work occasional alternate days). Pro-D days, Spring Break, Christmas Break, Summer Break, etc. will be 7am to 6pm. Occasional weekend days are available if desired. Further flexibility to work full time is also an option. Salary is $18-$22 per hour based on experience. Vehicle, Driver’s License (Class 5) and Criminal record check required. If this position interests you, we would love to hear from you!
