Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are a family of four - me (Ana), my husband (Jay), our baby boy (Sebastian) and our dog (Max), and are looking for a live-in (au pair) or live-out nanny to help us take care of Sebastian as I will be going back to work in January. The potential candidate must speak French and have an early childhood degree and experience with children. A second degree and experience in a health related area (nursing, psychology, etc.) is a definite plus. We live in the Bloor West Village neighbourhood in Toronto. It is a wonderful neighbourhood with lots of green spaces, cafes, and shops within walking distance. The Jane subway is also within walking distance from our place. We are looking for someone to take care of our son from 8 am to 5 pm. We are open to having you work from Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday, if you wish to have Fridays off. We are looking for someone who can commit longterm, preferably for 12-24 months. Your responsibilities would include spending time and engaging (playing, singing, drawing, etc.) with Sebastian, taking him for walks in his stroller, preparing his meals, changing him as required, putting him to sleep for his naps. You have no responsibility for Max, the dog, unless you wish to take him on your walks with Sebastian. He is a very sweet and friendly dog. You do not have any house cleaning responsibilities either. For those interested in the live-in option, we would be able to offer you a recently renovated studio basement apartment which has a large furnished room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry and separate entry.
