Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Overview: We are a family of three (Mom, Dad & 7-year-old daughter) living in beautiful Edgemont in North Vancouver BC Canada. Both parents are busy, working professionals and we are looking for a Part-time live-out Housekeeper/Caregiver ideally first for before & after school care for our daughter 3 to 3.5 days a week (approximately 20-28 hours/week). Our home takes about 10-12 hours to maintain/clean weekly and the rest of the time is spent in before/after school care as our jobs are very demanding. Our daughter is currently heading into Grade 2 full-time at Highlands Elementary (walking distance from our home so a driver's license an asset but not required). We are looking for someone to prepare her for school and drop off/pick her up (dressing, hygiene, feeding, walking to/from school) 3 to 3.5 days per week in addition to helping us maintain our home duties (3 days 730a-4p and 4th 1/2 day). The majority of this job will be housecleaning along with assistance with other household activities (grocery shopping, prepping lunches/dinners, organizing activities/playdates, running the household, etc). Please note things will continue to be fluid and adaptive based on covid cases (although things seem to be vastly improving so hope is no adjustments for school) but want to make sure the person is flexible & adaptable. This position will be a minimum of 1 year, but up to 3 years or longer for the right candidate :). Our daughter is a very bright, kind, loving, respectful, nature & animal loving 7-year old who respects rules and boundaries and is very well behaved with a ton of personality (she is hilarious as are her parents). Ideally, we are looking for an initiative taker, strong multi-tasker & team player who will be treated like family. You must adore children, be energetic, patient, kind, and responsible, and have at least 3 years of experience in caring for children along with up to date First aid and caregiver training. Work & personal references are a must as are criminal record checks. We also are looking for someone who is taking COVID-19 seriously (wearing masks and fully vaccinated) as we have a high-risk family member so taking precautions is of utmost importance. You must be willing to get outside when it's weather-appropriate on a regular basis (to the park, walks/hikes, bike rides, trampoline, etc. ) and to assist with meal preparation/cooking and household duties as time permits. We also have 3 cats so require pet care but they are indoors so little to no maintenance with food/water & litter boxes. Excellent communication skills and English proficiency is required. Starting wage would depend on experience with opportunities for over-time evenings and weekends if of interest but not required. A drivers license & vehicle an asset but not required.
