Nanny in Quebec City, Quebec

Originally from England, I have enjoyed gaining more than five years’ experience as a nanny in Ontario and Nova Scotia. I am currently the nanny to two-year-old twin girls in a rural location in Nova Scotia, which has proven to be an endless source of inspiration for creative exploration and outdoor education. I am very much a hands-on nanny, and I believe in letting children discover through play and imagination. I love planning and devising new activities for the children, from arts and crafts to story-focused and expressive outlets, a skill and interest I’ve had the opportunity to develop in each of my nannying positions. I have worked with newborns to 6-year-olds and families of varying sizes. I pride myself on my ability to work effectively within and to maintain existing practices, thriving on collaboration with parents and other caregivers, while having the confidence to act on my own initiative for the benefit of the children. My background in hospitality management has instilled in me strong organizational skills and an acute attention to issues of health and safety. I am open to schedule flexibility and shift work, and live-in or live-out positions, in accordance with the needs of the family. I have excellent references from the families I’ve worked for to date, all of which attest to my compassion, care, and conscientiousness. I am currently on the in-home caregiver program and I am looking for a position with continued sponsorship. I would like to relocate to Ontario from Nova Scotia with my next position.
