Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are a fun family looking for a caring and nurturing live-out nanny for our two kids, Tommy (turned 4 in July) and Lily (turns 1 in October) We also want the nanny to take care of preparing snacks and meals (lunch and supper) and keeping our home tidy. We are looking for someone who can work about 8-9 hrs a day Monday - Friday (8:00-5:00) with flexibility. Lily (1) is able to roll around and will be crawling soon. We would like our nanny to be encouraging in Lily's physical and mental development - someone who will keep her busy as well as give her quiet time (e.g. reading books). We have been teaching her basic sign language, and would love to see this continued. Tommy (4) loves doing puzzles, reading books, playing hockey in basement and music, so you'll need to love dancing and singing! He is currently phasing out the afternoon nap, but is very capable of having quiet time building trains, coloring or reading books. We highly value good manners, kindness and sharing and would expect the nanny to continue encouraging and reminding him of these good behaviors. Tommy can be shy, and can be very hesitant to participate in new activities with large crowds. Since mom works from home, it's important that our nanny is resourceful in finding activities to take the kids to during the day. We understand that there will be time at home too, but we'll have to coordinate because, on occasion, business might require a quiet space. Flexibility will be necessary.
