I am a 37 year old mexican woman with a Bachelors degree in Psychology, living in Mexico city. I have spent most of my professional career working with children age one to ten years old in both early childhood development and later as a kindergarten teacher. My work in early childhood development was in a Gymboree-style setting where I worked with a group of up to 20 people (children parents) The program included child-focused activities that are tailored to each child’s unique interests and abilities. My kindergarten experience includes work in three schools in Mexico where I was the class teacher. My day typically including monitoring the children's health, singing hello songs, fine motor skills, writing work, figures and forms, colors, physical exercise, rest, reading, English and philosophy classes, dancing and games. I also taught kindergarten summer camp classes in Italy and in a summer camp in the Ukraine where all the activities and games were in English. I also have some experience working with children having significant special needs, e.g. Downs Syndrome, arrested development, etc. This work was centered around summer camps in Mexico, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. I have found many good qualities in these children, things like purity of spirit, ability to communicate, positive attitudes , etc. I enjoy volunteer work. For example, I spent time in Canada where in the early summer of 2010 I participated in the Chantiers jeunesse program in Quebec. Later that year I traveled to France where I joined in the Sodarites Jeunesses program. Then, in 2013 in Germany I volunteered to work with two artists in the workshop "Faces of Woebbelin" I designed drafts of a sculpture for the outdoor area of the Neuengamme concentration camp memorial-museum. I always enjoy working with children and, these days, I enjoy spending time with my nephews here in Mexico. I speak Spanish and English and I am available now for work although I will require sponsorship from a Canadian family.
