Hi! My name is Katherine! I am a 21 year old with an absolute passion for kids. I currently just finished my third year of university at memorial university of Newfoundland. I am pursuing a behavioural neuroscience degree in hopes to attend medical school to become a Paediatric psychiatrist. I am from a place called Newfoundland. It is on the very very eastern end of Canada. I was born here but a fun fact is I was adopted at birth! I am now blessed with the most amazing family in the world. As far as I’m concerned my family now is my mom and dad. We are a family of 4! I have a 25 year old brother who has a disability so if there are any children with disabilities, not to worry I have a lot of experience. He has autism. My dad is a geologist/university prof. He inspires me to work hard as he is a very smart man. He has a PHD In geology and has completed two thesis’s. He has instilled a very good worth ethic in me. My mom is a customs officer.. that is where my love to travel comes from! I am currently working as an Au Pair in Milan Italy but will finish up December 4th 2019. Therefore, experience with kids is not a problem. Other experience with kids includes working at The Little Gym of St.John's back home, Worked at a sleep-away camp (Iroquois Springs) In New York in the summer of 2019, Worked as a tutor, Volunteered at a daycare and at the Special Olympics.I have grown up loving kids and most of my work experience is with them. I have spent a lot of time away from home traveling because my dad is from England so we would come here 3 times a year and I would spend my summers here. When I am not studying, working or babysitting you can most likely find me playing music; I have been singing since the age of 5 and playing guitar since the age of, you could find me reading; I really enjoy psychology books and books about the brain, or you can find me outside! I really love hiking and being by the fresh air.
