Dear host family, My name is May and I am happy to introduce myself with this brief letter. It was always a great dream of mine to live and work in a foreign country, especially the Canada and I am really excited that it will become reality soon. I would like to go to Canada because it is a beautiful country with a great history and way of life. I am fascinated by the marvelous culture, the various province and from the nice people living in Canada. I am a creative and ambitious young woman because I have a lot of ideas about my future. I am interested in sports, teaching, cooking, singing, traveling, and more. In 2012, I started studying info tech (IT) for a year but I decided to quit and shift to another course (Nursing Aide). I got trained in a hospital and was able to experience working with the patients,  I even got to witness a live operation inside of the operating room, assisted two patients in the labor and delivery process together with a midwife. I helped to organize medical records, check the patient vitals, and hourly monitoing. My duty 6am until 5pm.  But that was not all!  I worked with another team which handled midwifery. I stayed busy the whole time of my shift and in the evening i have to make my reports to my superior.  I was totally drained the whole day and night then the next day too as I have classes to attend!  But it worth the effort. I was a member in a choir and Youth officer organization in the church where I was born and raised. Our coach was my best friend's sister and the members ages between 6 to 18 but they trained also older teenagers. Sometimes it's difficult to motivate the children. But I like to do this kind of job and it gives me new energy because I really love children!  It is important to be punctual because the parents wait for their children. I am cheerful and sensitive for the children’s needs. I started caring for children some years ago. At the beginning I looked after my 3 little siblings and as time went by my parents trusted in me and so I got more and more responsibility. I got my first paid job at the age of 16. I had the opportunity work after I graduated from high school. My job was not very strenuous because my colleagues were all cool despite of a job we all got. Sometimes it takes patience to take care of children but it is a great experience to share some time with them.  I learned these skills during my on the job training (OJT) at the hospital, when I attended a pre assestment for my caregiving certification, during my past two childcare provider jobs and lastly and the very first is from my very own siblings. In my own experience it is the wrong way to shout/yell at children. I have the strength to set them limits if necessary set consequences. I am very polite, creative, thoughtful, easy-going person, funny and humorous. It is a dream of mine to go to Canada and I can combine it with a wonderful and interesting job: to look after them (your children). I don't mind giving a hand when it comes to the household if necessary. I really love cooking and I like to taste other foods. At home I used to cooked for everyone I'm the oldest daughter so all the task goes to me lol but then I am thankful as I learned a lot from it. Another hobby of mine is reading. I read all kind of books and I like to discuss it after. I have more interest in other countries. I like to watched and listen to a documentaries about any other things on TV or either read it from the magazine or books it's always one of the best way to learn something new. One of my best characteristics is my tolerance and sense of humor. Nowadays it is very important to be tolerant and humorous because there are so many different people that we encounter from a different countries and its traditions. I hope that I reach your expectation from a childcare provider to take care of your children and I am looking forward to hear from you! May God bless you all.   Sincerely yours, May
