Nanny in Guelph, Ontario

Hi there my name is Bronwyn. I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2019, with a Honours BA of Political Science, with the Legal Studies Specialization. I am now currently in the Bachelor of Education Primary/ Junior program at Laurier, and will be graduating in 2022. I am extremely passionate about child care and the opportunity to foster and encourage a child's natural curiosity through creative play, social activities, organized programs, authentic interaction, and also through physical activity. I have an array of experience with children of all ages, including being an Educational Assistant for Preschool Canada, residential child care, nannying, City of Guelph camp counselling and supervising, assistant basketball coach, assistant dance teacher and was involved in a mission trip to an orphanage located in Guatemala. My experience in residential child care, has allowed me to provide care to numerous families, including children from newborn to 12 years. I am responsible for developmental benchmarks including bathing and toilet training to assisting with homework. Additionally, I am responsible for individual meal plans, and I am knowledgable in the areas of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. I ensure that I provide safety and privacy, through the sanitation of environment and uncompromising privacy principles. Through my experience in residential child care, I was also fortunate enough to become a nanny for a one month old boy. Through this experience, I developed an everlasting bond with this child. I was fortunate to be part of a professional team of camp counsellors brought together to plan, modify, adjust and participate in, programs and activities as part of the Kiddie Camp summer program provided by the City of Guelph. During my first years at camp, I was a camp counsellor and was responsible for delivering programs geared towards children of all abilities, including those with varying exceptionalities, such as sensory disabilities. Additionally, in recent years I have become a Team Lead for the City of Guelph camps, and have been responsible for overseeing an entire camp. I continue to be apart of this amazing team, through PD Day camps, March Break camps and summer camp programs. Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to teach a Little Learners preschool program for the City of Guelph, as well as various dance classes (Kinder Dance, and Ballet). I am certified in High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development, First Aid and CPR C and Behaviour Management Systems Training.
