To whom this may concern, My name is Kate Reece and I am 28 years of age. I am an enthusiastic, compassionate and responsible candidate for the available position. I am passionate about the work I do, and consider myself a self starter that also works well in groups. Family is very important to me; I am a wife and a mom. I enjoy spending time with friends, practicing yoga, and volunteering my time. In 2014, I graduated from Douglas college with a Diploma in General Studies. In 2002, I completed the Responsible Adult certification course, and I have been working in Childcare for 8 years at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver and 6 years at Vancouver Nanniesoncall. The reason I am changing jobs is because I am currently working 1 week on and 1 week off, part time, and I would like closer to a full time schedule. I am looking to obtain a childcare position that would welcome my 2.5 year old daughter to come with me to enjoy the days interacting with other children. My philosophy is that Children learn through play and it is important to minimize screen time and to spend as much time outside engaging and learning in the environment.
